Johan Cruyff Institute will welcome two members of the Spanish field hockey national team to its 2023-24 Online Postgraduate Diploma in Sport Marketing and Sponsorship thanks to the renewal of the collaboration agreement with the Royal Spanish Hockey Federation (RFEH) to promote academic training. The forward Belén Iglesias, and the team manager and analyst of the Spanish women’s national team, Raúl Gómez, are the beneficiaries of a full scholarship to attend this program.
This collaboration responds to the common objective of both institutions to facilitate the personal and professional development of elite athletes and members of the RFEH through quality training in sport management. Johan Cruyff Institute continues to invest in its mission to promote the academic training and transition to the labor market of professional athletes by facilitating a dual-career option and, at the same time, of those professionals who want to improve in the development of their functions as sport managers.
The RFEH, in its commitment to provide opportunities to its collective and continue contributing to the professionalization of the sport, informed all its members with a valid federation license, who are over 18 years of age and of any nationality and residence, the opportunity to apply the scholarships, which were agreed upon and awarded jointly with Johan Cruyff Institute.

Thus, Belén Iglesias and Raúl Gómez will not only come across each other this year at the training sessions and matches of the Spanish field hockey team, but also in the Online Postgraduate Diploma in Sport Marketing and Sponsorship. “It is an honor for me to receive this scholarship at such a prestigious institution as Johan Cruyff Institute,” said Belén. “I can’t wait to get started and make the most of this opportunity to reach my goals both in sport and in business,” she added.
