During their stay, the students had the opportunity to learn from top experts through the seminar’s sessions, covering key topics such as the management of sports organizations, dispute resolution in sports entities, and the rights of underage athletes. They also visited the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper and the F.C. Barcelona Museum, gaining insights into the management and organization of the club.

The program aimed to introduce and train students in the legal aspects of the sports industry, as well as provide them with a glimpse into its professional realm. As a result, Colman students gained a comprehensive understanding of the complexities and legal implications of managing soccer clubs. Lawyers specializing in sports law, including Ricardo Oliveras, Luis Torres, Joan Milà, Sergi Atienza, Vero Codina Arbusà and Alejandro Naranjo Costa, participated in the training.

Some of the seminar’s modules focused specifically on soccer law, addressing topics such as legal issues in women’s soccer and the current status of the Superliga. Another module covered career strategies in the sports industry.

The program also featured Jordi Cruyff, who discussed with the Colman students the importance of continuous education in the sports sector: “We live in a dynamic sports landscape, where new media and tools are constantly emerging, making it essential to stay updated. The digital transformation forces sports professionals to remain active. Social media, for example, is more important than ever: younger generations have their own interests, so you have to work hard to capture their attention.”

Johan Cruyff Institute offers a Sport Law Course that addresses the main elements, conflicts, and solutions that professionals in the sector face on a daily basis.
